The kit that was chosen came in different blends. The one they used for this build is charcoal blend with the classic woodboxes. This outdoor fireplace is a great option for larger spaces on a level surface. We just love the height of this fireplace, it really fills up the space and gives a grand look. And the sides to hold the wood are a practical and great addition to this stone fireplace.

How We Built Our Outdoor Fireplace
If you’re looking for a beautiful architectural design, this outdoor fireplace is what you’ve been looking for. The height of this fireplace makes it perfect for a larger space. You’ll need a concrete foundation, cinder block base and heat shield, a fireplace insert, wooden structure around the fireplace, and last but not least a roof. You can choose to paint your board planks or leave them as is. They chose to paint theirs the color of warm concrete which has a very natural look. Built in about a week, this outdoor fireplace is worth the time and effort adding a great look to your outdoor space even when not in use.

Fireplace with a Kit
If you’re looking for a kit design here’s one for you! A backyard waterfall turned into an outdoor fireplace in no time, this project took about three weekends to fully complete. After pouring a cement pad, they began with the assembling of their Interstate Brick kit which came in about 20 pieces. We love how they were able to use some recycled pieces from their old waterfall in the build. Beautiful and resourceful.
