We offer you an interesting way of decorating a charcuterie board in the form of a Christmas tree. The board looks elegant and not banal, and assembles in minutes. The centerpiece – the top of the Christmas tree is made of brie cheese. Cheese babybells with red wax will perfectly decorate your Christmas tree. Add cheese snowflakes, mini mozzarella and salami roses and it will be impossible to take your eyes off your board. Let’s get started.

Ingredients Needed:

  • 1 small round of brie cheese
  • Pretzels
  • White chocolate
  • Cherry tomatoes
  • Pretzel sticks
  • Thin slices of ham
  • Salami
  • Semi-hard white cheese slices
  • 1 Babybel cheese
  • Light grapes
  • Dark grapes
  • Kiwi jam
  • Mini mozzarella balls

How to Make a Christmas Tree Charcuterie Board

Use a cookie cutter to cut snowflake shapes from semi-hard cheese slices. Create a snowflake imprint on the Babybel wax, remove the wax, and set aside.

Unmold the brie, slice off the white crust, and cut out a Christmas tree shape. Return the crust to the brie and trim it into a cone shape. Cube the remaining brie to use on the board.

Fold salami circles in half, then roll tightly to form roses. For a garland effect, fold salami quarters and link them in pairs.

Tie ribbons, pine branches, or mini ornaments to the handle for a festive touch. Place the brie Christmas tree at the center of the board and fill the cutout with kiwi jam. Arrange a salami rose and brie cubes with cherry tomatoes on one side. Repeat with another rose and brie set on the opposite side.

Use pretzel sticks to form the tree trunk at the bottom of the board and place the Babybel cheese snowflake above it. Lay out the salami garland diagonally, filling in with pretzels along the lines.

Arrange dark grapes at the top, followed by light grapes, mini mozzarella balls, cherry tomatoes, and white chocolate drops in sections to mimic decorations. Scatter cheese snowflakes over the board and sprinkle with coconut flakes or coarse salt for a snowy finish.

Pair with dipping sauces like honey or mustard for a complete holiday charcuterie experience.

Helpful Tips

  • Choose a Large Board: A wooden cutting board or a festive holiday platter works best to display all the elements so that it looks full.
  • Layer for Texture: Arrange ingredients in overlapping layers to create a dimensional and festive look.
  • Keep it Balanced: Spread colors evenly across the board.
  • Work in Sections: Start with the centerpiece (brie Christmas tree) and build outward for an organized design.

Common FAQs

Can I customize the ingredients?

Absolutely! Swap out items based on your preferences or dietary needs. For example, use crackers instead of pretzels or add dried fruits like cranberries for a pop of color.

How far in advance can I make this?

Assemble the board up to 4 hours in advance and store it in the refrigerator. Add delicate items like pretzels and garnishes just before serving to keep them crisp and fresh.
