Instructions:

STEP ONE

Gather all supplies. Water down acrylic craft paint and basecoat four jumbo craft sticks white, red, green, and yellow. Watering down the paint will give the wooden craft sticks a stained effect. Set aside to dry.

STEP TWO

Paint outside of metal bucket with red acrylic craft paint. Set aside to dry and apply a second coat, if necessary.

STEP THREE

Draw a line around the center of the bucket with a pencil.

STEP FOUR

Paint a ¼” wide band around the bucket with black acrylic craft paint. Set aside to dry.

STEP FIVE

Download, print, and cut out the CHRISTMAS BUCKET BUCKLET PATTERN with scissors. Trace the buckle pattern on the back of the gold glitter craft foam with a pencil, then cut out with scissors.

STEP SIX

Attach the gold glitter buckle to the front center of the bucket with a glue gun and glue sticks. Glue white pom poms around the outside top edge of the Christmas bucket.

STEP SEVEN

Secure the remaining white pom poms around the inside edge of the Christmas bucket with a glue gun and glue sticks.

STEP EIGHT

Lay out the 20 painted jumbo craft sticks on your work surface. Write Christmas activities on craft sticks with a pencil, and then ink in with a permanent black marker.

Use the holiday prompts on the provided list, or make up your own based upon what is important to your family.

STEP NINE

Fill the bucket with white crinkled paper shred. Insert the craft stick activities into the bucket and remove them as your family completes them this holiday season.

Create this thoughtful Christmas Bucket craft to work on spending real time with the kiddos. Make learning about Christmas giving FUN! Make a bucket for your family and one to give away.
