Whether you are a parent, student or working- so many people these days are turning to ‘side hustles’ to bring in some extra cash. It makes sense, everything is way more expensive than it used to be and who doesn’t want some extra money on hand?
Some of these options are great for quick cash infusions when you need it and some are more of a long term game. All right, let’s get into the side hustles that will bring in money- RIGHT NOW!
SHORT TERM SIDE HUSTLES- MAKE MONEY TODAY
DOG WALKING/PET SITTING
This is a great option for anyone who like animals. My friend ended up doing this for a while and made some killer cash because dog walkers typically charge 15-20$ for a twenty minute walk. A thirty minute walk costs between 20-30$!
Put a nice ad up on Craigslist and walk your first dog. If you like it, advertise further and get more clients! After a while, my friend was even talking about buying a truck, putting a company name on it and hiring others to work under her.
You can set the times you’re available and work around other things going on in your life.
If you’d like to take out the work of setting up your own ads, try signing up for these companies-
CLEANER
For a while, I worked for a woman who started a cleaning business. She charged 25$ per hour and paid me 11$. Very smart because she had 5 other girls working for her too.
Don’t be stupid like me. Advertise your own services, get your own clients and KEEP ALL THE PROFITS. And if you want to be really smart, do what she did eventually and hire other workers when you have too many clients to keep up with.
The beauty of being a cleaner is that you can set your own prices and times. If you want to do it before or after a job or school, you’re able!
You can keep in shape and make hella good money.
SERVING
Have you ever had a serving job before? They’re a lot of fun! I worked at a pub for almost 5 years and loved it! I still go back when they are busy with holiday nights or have bands in. You get paid an hourly wage plus make tips.
If you are positive and love chatting with people, try serving. On good nights I was going home with anywhere from 100-400$ on top of my wage.
Don’t want to serve?
Bartend! So so fun and same thing, awesome money to be made. Lot’s of places like pubs, bars, golf restaurants are looking for people only on their busy nights for certain hours.
Become A Flipper
Finding things are garage sales, flea markets or liquidation centers and then reselling them for a profit can be a very lucrative business.

Let’s talk about them.
I think everyone loves the IDEA of doing online surveys but in reality, they can be a pain in the butt. It’s hard to find ones that actually pay cash and aren’t extremely time consuming.
The only reason I’m even putting this on here is because it is POSSIBLE to make some free money- but it is time consuming and not a huge return. The best sites I’ve found are Survey Junkie and Swag Bucks –> Swag Bucks is better to start because you get $5 if you earn enough qualifying points.
CREATE YOUR OWN THINGS
This is obviously a bit more time consuming but what if you have a hobby that you could be making money with?
Do you knit/crochet? Make cute crafts? Draw?
It’s relatively easy to have a shop set up on Etsy. Vintage and antiques are selling like crazy so you could use the garage sale idea to sell on Etsy as well!
LONG TERM SIDE HUSTLES- HAVE AN END GOAL IN MIND
Maybe these shouldn’t be called side hustles. JOBS would be a better word. This list is for people that are serious about making money.
This is for those who want to leave the job they have or make enough to stay home with your kids.
This is for those who have the time, effort and attitude to MAKE THEIR SIDE HUSTLES HAPPEN AT ALL COSTS.

Alright, let’s talk about it.
Blogging is not a get rich quick scheme. Blogging is not for the faint of heart. Blogging is not easy.

One of the best things you’ll ever do.
A way to freedom for you and your family.
A potentially limitless business for you because it can morph into whatever you want and you can take it any direction you want.

START A PRINT ON DEMAND STORE
Print on Demand stores are just the cats pajamas. You can design a product (like a t-shirt or mug) and sell it on a site like Etsy. You mark up the price to make a profit and pay the base cost of the t-shirt or mug.
So let’s say you have a funny mug for Father’s Day. It costs $9 for the mug on Printful but you charge $19 on your Etsy store. You’re making a $10 profit and you don’t pay a dime until someone orders your product.
This is an incredibly safe way to test out a business idea- it costs nothing!

Freelance writing means being self-employed and freelancing different jobs. Do you love to write? If so, it can be super profitable. There are a few different ways you can go about getting started-

Babies and infants on average cost 972$ per month.
Preschoolers are about 733$ per month.
There are a lot of things to consider though-
Do you like planning meals, snacks, activities and crafts for children?
A part of your home will be turned into an area just for the daycare.
You also need to get your first aid up to date if you are going to be looking after kids! All that being said, opening a daycare can be extremely lucrative if you have even just 5 kids. In addition, it’s also one of those jobs that’s good for the heart ❤
KNOW THAT ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE FOR YOU- IT DOESN’T HAVE TO BE SIDE HUSTLES, IT CAN BE SOMETHING THAT MORPHS INTO A PASSIONATE BUSINESS
So many of us float through life thinking that you have to go to school to get a ‘real’ job that pays well. Except you start off in debt or you don’t go to school and think you are destined to only make money you are ‘allowed’ to make when you haven’t gone to school.

There are so many avenues to take if you are looking into starting up a side hustle or a business. Above all, find something that suits you. Try different things. INVEST in yourself if you are serious about something. You’re worth it!
