Adeline 

This name means noble or nobility and is derived from the name Adele. There are many other spellings that can be used such as Adelyn, Adaline, Adalyn and Adalynn. If you need a nickname, Addy would be suitable. 

Bridgette 

From the French origin meaning high one, strength, exalted, or lofty. This would be a great first name for a baby girl. 

Celine 

You may recognize this name from the famous singer, Celine Dion. However, the original version was actually Celeste, meaning heavenly. It’s actually been in the top 1000 list of girl names since 2012. Some parents prefer Selene. 

Eloise 

You are probably old enough to remember the show, Me, Eloise! Which takes place at the Plaza and is all about her mischief. If that’s not enough, it also means healthy. Eloisa is the Italian variation which seems a little more vintage. Need a nickname? What about Ellie?

Felicia 

While there are many different interpretations in other cultures, in French and as an American name, Felicia means great happiness.  

Genny

This name is actually a variation of Genevieve, so you could use it as a nickname. 

Isabelle 

In French, Isabelle means pledged to God and is a variation of Isabel. It’s becoming increasingly popular again and here are a few nicknames you could use, Belle, Bella, or Izzy. 

Josephine 

Meaning Jehovah increases, Josephine is the female form of Joseph. This is another names that sounds a little vintage, but is becoming popular again. Josie would be the perfect nickname. 

Liliane 

This is the Fre4nch version of Lilian, which is also beautiful. The name means lily like the flower. Some parents like the rings of Liliana as well. 

Meline 

While it’s not really French in origin, Meline is a very common name in France. The Greek translation is honey, while it means delight in Latin. From this name, you could also use Mel, Mina, Lena, or Melanie.

Noelle 

It’s French for Christmas, so if baby girl is going to make her debut in December, this would be perfect. 

Odette 

If you’ve ever seen Swan Lake, you will know that Odette is the good swan; but it also means wealthy.

Rosalie 

French in origin meaning Rose, which is also pretty and is a great middle name. Rosalie was popular long ago but fell off the charts until the Twilight series came to life.
