DIY Popsicle Stick Snowflake Ornaments

Celebrate the Christmas and winter season with these simple but cute popsicle snowflake ornaments! You only need 3 main supplies including the stickers, glue, and string. We recommend stocking up on glitter glue, pom poms, and gemstones to make them extra colorful and decorated.

Easiest Paper Snowflake With Pasta

Hang these creative pasta snowflakes in the window or on your Christmas tree! Because acini pasta is so small, it keeps the kids busy for quite some time. The actual snowflake is made by cutting out strips of paper and gluing them together. To make pasting the pasta easier, use a foam paintbrush to spread out the glue first.

Snowflake Salt Painting

Salt-painted snowflakes are so much fun to make, and you can get the older ones involved as well. The size of the snowflake is perfect for hanging on the tree when you are finished making them. Create your own flakes or use a printable template. Then trace them with glue. For toddlers, it’s best if an adult applies the glue and then let the kids shake the salt. After the salt has been applied, let them go wild with watercolors!

Pretty Painted Rock Snowflakes

Painting rocks is a great way to bring the “outdoors” inside on winter days. If you can’t find any rocks outside, these are available at local craft stores. A template is provided that has several different snowflakes to look at for reference. However, with toddlers, they are probably going ot make their own creations! Acrylic paint is the best to use on these rocks.

All you need to make these snowflakes is paper and scissors! If your toddler doesn’t have great control when using scissors, let them choose the paper and watch you cut out the snowflakes. Use these for hanging decorations by tying yarn or fishing string to the top to display.

Glittered Snowflake Ornaments

If you are running short on time but still want to make a few snowflakes, then this is the craft for your family. Simply cut the snowflakes out of computer paper, apply the glue, and let the little ones pour on the glitter. Don’t forget to pour the loose glitter back into the jar so it can be used again.

Easy DIY Button Snowflake

These are so much fun to make and a great way to use up buttons and popsicle sticks. The tutorial says to paint the sticks blue, then glue on different shades of blue buttons. But if you are using up old supplies or your toddler wants to choose their own color, there’s not a problem with doing that either. Once you are finished, use some yarn to make a loop and hang it on your Christmas tree.

Cupcake Liner Snowflake Craft

Using cupcake liners to make paper snowflakes is a genius idea because chances are you already have these on hand! Once the snowflakes have been made, glue them to a sheet of construction paper and let them finish decorating with stickers or other embellishments.

DIY Clothes Pin Snowflake Ornament Craft

Combine regular clothespins with wooden pegs to make these beautiful snowflakes! The little ones can be in charge of painting them white, but depending on what adhesive you choose to use, they may need a little help getting them together. You can stand these up o the counter for decoration, sit them on the Christmas tree, or even hang them up!

Snowflake Suncatcher Craft

These may look a little different when comparing them to the traditional snowflake, but kids love watching the rays come through all of the pretty colors. They are quick and easy to make. Plus you only need contact paper, tissue paper, and scissors to make them!

Paper Plate Snowflake Yarn Art

For those who can’t find these exact snowflake paper plates, you can just draw one on the side that is face up. Then use a push pin to punch holes to make a “lace” card. Since toddlers will be making these, they will need a little guidance but once they get the hang of it, they will love this craft. The instructions say to use a regular sewing needle, but I would recommend plastic ones just for the safety of the kids.

Fork Painted Snowflakes

We love fork painting for craft time. Usually, younger kids can complete this entire project by themselves. All you’ll need is blue construction paper, white paint, and a few plastic forks to get this snowflake party started! You can also hand them a few Q-tips to add some additional decorations.

Straw Snowflake Ornaments & Prints

This is almost a two-for-one craft. Once you cut the paper straws and make a snowflake on a circular piece of cardboard, little ones can use these as paint stampers. The tutorial uses the stamped paper for gift wrap, how creative!
